Mesothelioma Symptoms Explained
Mesothelioma is a relatively rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure. It attacks the membranes that surround the lungs, heart or abdomen.
The only recognized cause of mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos, though other factors such as smoking can make the disease more or less likely in some individuals. In most cases, mesothelioma symptoms will not appear in an individual exposed to asbestos until many years after the exposure has occurred.
Asbestos exposure is the leading cause of the rare cancer known as mesothelioma (the most common form of this cancer is pleural mesothelioma). Asbestos related lung diseases and cancer are not easily diagnosed and unfortunately, are not evident in the body until many years after exposure. Since mesothelioma and other lung related diseases are triggered in later stages of life, veterans who were involved in the military should also check that they were not exposed to asbestos.
The development of mesothelioma is directly related to asbestos exposure. Because mesothelioma can take years to develop, protecting small children from asbestos is vital.

Asbestos Exposure Victims
Exposure to asbestos has proven to result in a wide range of health conditions, including mesothelioma, a deadly cancer that attacks the lining of the lungs, heart, or abdomen. Firefighters are subjected to asbestos exposure on the job. They often fight fires in buildings that have asbestos components; in fact, this is nearly unavoidable, unfortunately, the very clothing that the firefighters were wearing was giving toxic levels of asbestos exposure to the unsuspecting firefighters.
Mesothelioma, the rare cancer caused by asbestos exposure, is a great concern for electricians, since many electrical components are made from asbestos-containing materials. Asbestos exposure can cause disabling or fatal diseases such as asbestosis, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and mesothelioma.

Malignant mesothelioma, or it is sometimes called mesothelioma asbestos, is a type of deadly lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
